Iraq war is over

So is unsustainable consumption!

One big hangup I had with the war in Iraq had nothing to do with the war in Iraq. I remember during the days of the mid-2000′s when the war was going full steam. This of course was during Bush’s first term. It was a time that the county should have been cutting back . It was a time that we needed to exercise economic restraint. After all, we were at war.

The opposite was true. These were the days of Hummers and easy mortgages for big houses and condos. There was no message of restraint from the government. This seemed like a mistake. It was a mistake.

If our country is going to war, we need to sacrifice as citizens. It’s just too expensive!
