Central Park Illustration

If there’s one look I’d like to capture in my paintings and illustrations, it’s the Looney Tunes and Warner Bros. cartoon backgrounds. Something about the 50′s illustration technique that was loose, abstract and endearing all in one. On my most recent trip to NYC, I snapped a few photos that lent themselves to illustration quite well. This was the first one that was actually completed. Using a drawing tablet rather than my normal sharpie/transparency technique, this little picture came together quite well.
